​Janene Borandi, L.Ac.

Janene Borandi is a Utah licensed acupuncturist. She holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture Certification by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Janene graduated from the Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2014 and worked in private practice in Maryland and DC until moving to St. George, Utah in December 2016.

Back east, Janene had a very rewarding practice, serving patients from all walks of life - regardless of age, cultural or sexual orientation, spiritual affiliation, or economic circumstances. Janene has worked with people with sports-related injuries, chronic pain (including autoimmune disease and fibromyalgia), arthritis, depression, anxiety, addiction, digestive and respiratory disorders, back pain, fatigue, migraines, allergies, sleep disorders, fertility, symptoms associated with pregnancy, and other gynecological concerns.

In addition to her private practice, Janene treated veterans at the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC, as part of the Gulf War Veterans' Illness Research in the War-Related Illness and Injury Study Center. Prior to this she volunteered with Acupuncture for Veterans in Maryland, where she provided free acupuncture to Veterans and their families. She continues her work with Veterans today by providing weekly group acupuncture sessions at the Southern Utah Veteran's Home in Ivins.

Janene holds the following licenses and certifications:

  • Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
  • Licensed Acupuncturist through the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing and the Virginia Board of Medicine
  • Vice President of the Utah Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
  • Certified Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation Specialist
  • Certified in Clean Needle Technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM)
  • Certified Acu Detox Specialist by National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA)

Janene enjoys educating herself about the many facets of both ancient and conventional medical disciplines. She loves teaching people about acupuncture, and even more passionate about helping her clients understand what nutritional and lifestyle changes might be right for them. She believes an integrative and concerted approach to health and wellness offers the best possible outcome for everyone, and she takes a lot of pride and joy in her work. 

Janene is a rock climber, yogi, cyclist, and she loves to travel and experience different cultures. She considers it a privilege to work with people as they traverse their unique healing process, and she is grateful to be a part of such a vibrant and loving community.
